Magic: Top Secret by Jasper Maskelyne

Written by Will McGill on July 21st, 2009

I just came across a really cool book on deceptive countermeasures written by one of the first “war magicians,” Jasper Maskelyne (basically, this book is an account of his experience).  The citation is:

Maskelyne, J. (1949). Magic: Top Secret. ASIN: B0007J5PGS. DOWNLOAD HERE.

Unfortunately, a used copy of this book is over $700 to purchase from an online merchant, I guess because it is very rare.  So, instead of $$$, I will charge you time: the scan of this book is 100-mb, and as such it cost you some time to download.

BRILLIANT – am fascinated by things magical and happened to read The War Magician by David Fisher – all about Maskelyne – then recently found an old history of magic in an out-of-print books store and read there about this book – thank you for the effort to scan it – was a great price for about 5 minutes download. A soft compliment to my magic library – very grateful..
From Oz (Melbourne) but not relate to the Wizard.

This is astonishing! What a wonderful gesture on your part to copy this and make it available. The only copy I could find was $575! Thank you very much!
